Viessmann refrigeration systems, part of the Viessmann Group is the leading supplier in the field of climate solutions. Viessmann provides refrigeration solutions for the food sector and industry.
Towards the end of 2018, LIDL invited Viessmann to come up with a new design for its refrigeration units due to the expansion of the cooling capacity and the new legislation surrounding refrigeration, this lead to the necessity for LIDL to replace the old rolling doors for a new system.
In cooperation with Viessmann, Metaflex developed an improved concept with double-sided sliding doors to replace the old rolling door system. The focus being maximum solutions, for minimum space. These doors can be operated manually are airtight, water-resistant, and suitable for use in environments from 0 to 15 degrees. The new concept provided LIDL with more room for storage and reduced energy costs.
Since this innovative project, hundreds of doors of this new concept have already been installed for the LEA (Retail and supermarket sector) in Germany. See the result below!
