Export Account Manager

The Export Account manager will become a part of the Export & Global Account Department within Metaflex Doors Europe. This department is responsible for any and all Export & Global Account business outside of the home-markets.

You will have the opportunity to further expand and develop our market position in a strategically important market segment – Life Science & Healthcare. We only sell doors and automation for doors. A very interesting niche market with many opportunities, the segment is growing and our product range fits in well.

You will be given every opportunity to demonstrate your business development skills in this dynamic environment. You are a B2B market builder, who can work both in a very traditional B2B export environment as well as with Global Accounts with companies around the world. The Export & Global Accounts team – led by an Export Manager – determines the sales strategy and the “route to market”.  You like to acquire new clients, close deals and are able to build long-term relationships. The achieved results are a team result with your individual success. You like to travel and thrive in an informal working environment with sales professionals.

You are responsible for budgets and will report directly to the Export Manager. Your formal office location will be Aalten, the Netherlands. Your field of play is the world.

Job Requirements

In addition to being independent and flexible, successful candidates will be strong communicators and team players. They know how to obtain support for their ideas and how to motivate those around them. But above all, they know how to impress and positively surprise on a regular basis with their professional knowledge and strong problem-solving skills. The Export Account Manager we are looking for also has:

  • 5-10 years working experience in an export profile.
  • Knowledge and commercial experience in the international B2B industry. You preferably have proven success in building up a market position.
  • Experience with hardware products, especially doors and/or entrance systems is an advantage.
  • Result-oriented and entrepreneurship.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • You see opportunities and have a “glass is half full” mentality.
  • Good command of spoken and written English at native level is a must. Knowledge of Dutch and German is a plus. Dutch and English are the internal working languages. Knowledge of other languages would be an advantage.
  • Bachelor or Master level education.
  • Willingness to travel internationally.
  • Salary will be commensurate with experience & market conditions.
