Metaflex radiation-resistant doors (link) are inlaid with lead and are therefore very suitable for rooms where radiation is used. The Metaflex lead doors are inlaid with 1 to 3 millimetres of lead, which makes them suitable for both areas with light radiation and areas with strong radiation.
Furthermore, the radiation-resistant doors can be equipped with a lead glass viewing window. As a result, the door offers both protection against radiation for patients and employees, as well as the option to maintain visual contact with the patient. Other (optional) characteristics of the radiation-resistant doors are:
- Airtight according to ANSI/UL 1784 and classification 4 according to DIN EN 12207
- Fire resistant for 30 to 60 minutes according to EN 1634-1
- Noise reducing up to a maximum of 43 dB
- Smoke reducing according to EN 1634-3
The lead insert makes the doors very heavy, but due to the automatic operation by means of the SDA-04, the ease of use is maintained.
